Site work and renovation of a stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a stadium; and for site work for a stadium.
Project Description: Install Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL), sump pump and pump station, and French underdrains consisting of limestone trenches with 4 and 6 perforated storm drain piping for groundwater seepage mitigation at the BREC Farr Park Horse Activity Center. Due to Covid-19, the BREC Administration Office is currently closed to the public. Mail, shipments, and hand deliveries will continue to be received as usual for our sealed bids. Attendance is not required for the bid opening. Bid tabulations and results will be posted as usual. The bid opening will be available via Zoom conference call. Paper bid forms must be submitted in a sealed, opaque envelope and endorsed SB 1811 Farr Park Equestrian Center Phase I Arena; Contract No. 20-1899-12 for the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge along with Contractors license number as required by LSA-R.S. 37:2151-2165. Bids with no license number will be rejected. One (1) copy of the bid form shall be submitted. Bid form blanks must be duly filled in by the Bidder. Bidders are cautioned not to attach any conditions or provisions to their proposals. Any foreign conditions will render the proposal invalid and may cause its rejection. A Certified Check or Cashiers Check, payable to the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge or a satisfactory Bid Bond, in compliance with LSA-R.S. 38:2218.A&C, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, shall be submitted with each paper bid. All Contractors bidding on this work shall comply with all provisions of the State Licensing Law for Contractors, LSA-R.S. 37:2150-2163, as amended, for all public contracts. It shall also be the responsibility of the General Contractor to assure that all subcontractors comply with this law. Contractors must be licensed in the proper category of work. If required for bidding, Contractors must hold an active license issued by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors in the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction and must show their license number on the face of the bid envelope and the Uniform Public Works Bid Form. BREC reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause as allowed by LSA-R.S. 38:2214. Bids shall only be accepted by Contractors who have formally obtained a complete set of the contract documents and in whose name the proposal forms and/or specifications were issued.
