Project has been cancelled and will not be awarded. Plans are to re-advertise later this year. The project includes: Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control and erosion control measures.
Perform all removal of structures and obstructions and earthwork operations.
Install 2 new Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) poles.
Install electrical systems for the RRFB (conduits, junction boxes, cables and wires).
Install 1 new electrical service cabinet for the RRFB and associated conduits, junction boxes, cables and wires.
Construct minor roadway improvements including concrete curb, sidewalks, and ADA ramp retrofits at the intersection.
Trenching and pavement resurfacing called for by the Specifications and Plans.
Perform additional and incidental Work as called for by the Specifications and Plans.
Coordinate proposed power electrical feed with franchise utility company. Each proposal must be submitted on forms prescribed by the City and accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond and a labor and material payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of contract. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a statutory public works bond in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00). Evidence of workers' compensation insurance will be required before the work shall commence. The City will investigate and determine the qualifications of the apparent low bidder prior to awarding the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject all bids, if it is in the public interest to do so.
