Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Construction of a new water well at the existing, inoperable, water treatment plant including piping, site piping, electrical improvements, and associated appurtenances. 2. Improvements to an existing chlorination system including all necessary system hardware, piping, site piping, electrical improvements, and associated appurtenances. Please submit questions for this project at least 5 business days prior to bid opening through online or to Matthew Armstrong, P.E. at marmstrong@ksaeng.com. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Wolfe City or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of Wolfe City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Wolfe City for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. The City of Wolfe City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, evaluate bids using scoring criteria, or to waive any informality in the bidding in accordance with Title 8, Subtitle A, Chapter 252.043 of the Local Government Code. The Work will be substantially completed within 180 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 210 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
