Renovation of a water / sewer project in Boise, Idaho. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

This project, begun in FY 2021, addresses the secondary clarifiers and associated improvements, which are the primary concerns with LSWRF's capacity. The scope of the proposed improvements includes the demolition of the second secondary clarifier (the other secondary clarifier is currently being demolished), chlorine contact tanks, pump station, and associated piping and infrastructure. Once demolition is complete, the project will construct two new secondary clarifiers, a RAS/WAS (return activated sludge / waste activated sludge) pump station, an influent splitter box, an effluent box, and a scum pump station. Aeration basin air control improvements are also included in the scope of this project. This project is included in the city's FY 2023-2026 Capital Improvement Program. As of February 7, 2023, further details regarding design and firm construction timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
