As of 1/27/2021 project was awarded to Downing diversified , WA awarded amount of $219,200.00. There are 3 bidders for the project and that was P31, CA $449,720.00 , Wahlund contstruction, CA $349,530.00 and Downing diversified , WA $219,200.00 . The project will be completed before May 21, 2021 and start date will be weather dependent. The HCSD is currently soliciting bids for its Pine Hill 16-Inch HDPE Water Main Bypass Directional Drilling Project. The Pine Hill Bridge Water Main Bypass Directional Drilling Project consists of installing a 16-Inch iron-pipe-size (IPS) PE 4710 DR11 high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipeline within the greater Eureka, California area. The pipe installation shall be performed in a single horizontal directional drill (HDD) run. The Contractor also will excavate and backfill all drill pits and restore all impacted ground surface to pre-project conditions, as well as provide excavation plate covers and temporary exclusionary fencing at all excavations at the end of each work day. The Contractor is responsible for complying with all permit conditions directly related to the pipeline installations (see highlighted items in Appendices D-F). District crews will make all connections to the flanged ends of HDD-installed pipeline. The foregoing description of work and quantities is approximate only, being given as a basis for the comparison of bids, and the District does not, expressly or by implication, agree that the actual amount of work will correspond therewith, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of any class or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary or advisable by the District. Project shall be completed by May 21, 2021, or $1,000 per day liquidated damages shall be assessed to Contractor. Insurance and workers compensation is required. Performance Bond for 100% of the bid amount is required. Payment Bond for 100% of the bid amount is required. The Contractor shall pay whichever rate is higher. Copies of the prevailing wage rate are on file at the District Office, 5055 Walnut Drive, Eureka, California, 95503; (707) 443-4558, and are available upon request. The successful bidder shall post a copy of such determination at each job site. All Contractors shall possess either a Class "A" or a Class C-34 license at the time the Contract is awarded. Contractor shall complete the form "Contractor's Statement of Qualifications" that is found in Appendix C, and include the completed form with the proposal forms. The minimum wage rate to be paid under this Contract shall be the current prevailing wage rate in accordance with Section 1770, and following, of the California Labor Code as determined by the Director of California Department of Industrial Relations; and the General Wage Determinations Issued Under the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, as follows: General Wage Rate Decision Index No. 2019-1 and modifications thereto. The Humboldt Community Services District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Humboldt Community Services District will not be liable for any cost incurred by the bidder incidental to the preparation, submittal, or evaluation of their bids, or in the negotiation, execution, and delivery of an agreement that may be awarded as a result of this Advertisement for Bids.
