Category Over $25,000 SDP Contract No. B-015C of 2018/19-Mechanical Construction SDP Contract No. B-016C of 2018/19-Electrical Construction Design Goals and Objectives: The project intent is to remove the existing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) Building Automation System (BAS) and provide a new BAS system to control the existing HVAC equipment. NOTE: Mechanical Contractor will be the Lead Prime as defined in GC-4.1.2 for purposes of scheduling and coordinating the Work 1.1.1 Mechanical Contract 1 Without intending to limit or restrict extent of work required under Contract, Work to be performed by the Mechanical Contractor includes, but is not limited to the following. 2 Replace the BAS system from the head end to the mechanical devices such as damper actuators and valve actuators (but do not replace dampers nor valve bodies). 3 Replace sensing devices (such as thermostats, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, pressure sensors, and carbon dioxide sensors). 4 Provide new communication wiring, raceways, and wire-mold as necessary. 5 Replace programmable logic controllers and human machine interface. 6 Provide new devices necessary to achieve the sequence of operations. 7 Provide two new primary heating hot water pumps, piping, controls, and accessories. 8 Provide Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Services for all HVAC equipment airside and water system. 1.1.2 Electrical Contract Without intending to limit or restrict extent of work required under Contract, Work to be performed by the Electrical Contractor includes, but is not limited to the following. 9 Provide new wiring, conduit, and breaker for new circuits serving new HVAC pumps, air conditioning unit variable frequency drives, and air flow monitoring stations (AFMS). 10 Install mechanical contractor furnished variable frequency drives and disconnect switches. 11 Perform necessary short circuit and arc flash studies. Furnish reports to owner. 12 Procure Commissioning Agent and provide Commissioning Services for all new HVAC equipment and controls systems.
