The Grossmont Tank is a uniquely shaped steel water tank consisting of a lower standpipe 70 feet in diameter and 97 feet high with a domed floor. On top of the standpipe is a second water tank owned by Helix Water District. The project is located in the lower standpipe tank. The scope of work consists of selective demolition and repairs/refurbishment of various structural and electrical components and appurtenances within the tank, surface preparation and recoating of interior tank surfaces, and installation of new and refurbished structural and electrical components and appurtenances. The work is located at 2790 Katherine St, El Cajon, 92021. Alternate bid work consists of replacement of joint sealant in the floors of either one, two, or three concrete reservoirs located in the city of Santee and the community of Lakeside, CA.
