Site work for a water / sewer project in Lawrence, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of approximately 4,800 linear feet of 24" DI water transmission main by HDD and/ or conventional excavation and backfill. The project includes the replacement of valves fittings, fire hydrants, and other miscellaneous appurtenances for the water transmission main located along New York Street between 8th and 15th Streets. The new transmission main is approximately 4,700 LF and will follow a new alignment from 8th and New York east to 8th and New Jersey, south to 15th and New Jersey, and west to 15th and Learnard Streets. New 16" water transmission main will be installed along 13th between New York and New Jersey to connect existing infrastructure. Small diameter waterline relocations at 8th and New York and 11th and New York are also a part of the waterline work. The project also includes storm sewer improvements at 11th and New York Streets and sanitary sewer improvements at 15th and Learnard Streets.
