As of November 30, 2023, an design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Lawrence, Kansas is proposing to contract with a qualified engineering firm for engineering services associated with the K-10 West Leg Expansion - Utility Relocation Project MS-23-0066. The consultant will evaluate City of Lawrence, KS utility crossings of the proposed expansion of State Highway K-10 between I-70 and US-59 and provide design, bid, and construction phase services. Existing utility crossings will be replaced or extended as necessary. Casing pipes will be installed for future utility crossings to serve areas west of K-10. All questions or requests for clarification must be submitted to purchasing@lawrenceks.org by Noon on Tuesday, Oct 18, 2022. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
