Demolition and site work for a residential development in Norwich, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

This project is summarized as the demolition of the building and associated work at: 21 Fairmount Street, Norwich, CT. The structure at 21 Fairmount Street is a commercial 3 story building, comprising 3552 square feet of living space, with an additional 1127 square feet in the unfinished attic. The scope of work on this project includes the following: a. Protection for the public, grounds, and buildings in the vicinity during this contract from concerns including dust, noise, and if applicable, odor control. b. Abatement of any hazardous and/or regulated materials within the residential building. c. Confirmation of utility shutoffs or deactivation, followed by disconnection of utilities. d. Demolition and proper offsite removal of structure and all building materials. e. Sorting and staging of materials, including those specified for salvage or recycling. f. Demolition and proper offsite disposal of foundation materials. g. Fill the foundation excavation with approved gravel backfill. h. Grade site to be compatible with existing grades. i. Completion of site cleanup, grading and landscaping. Provide 4 inches of loam, and seed all disturbed areas. j. Performance of all other incidental work necessary to fully complete the contract. Responses to Requests for Information will be posted no later than November 16 at 12:00 PM. The City of Norwich reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses, in whole or in part, to waive technical defects, minor irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interests of The City of Norwich will be served. All proposers must submit an one (1) original hard copy, and a digital copy (Compact Disk or USB drive) of their proposal in a sealed envelope bearing the responders name and the RFP number. The following information must appear in the lower left-hand corner of the envelope: IFB 7669. NONRESIDENT CONTRACTOR BOND 5% cash or guarantee bond for the total contract amount with the Commissioner of Revenue Services. Responders must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religious creed, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender identity or expression, intellectual disability, mental disability or physical disability, including, but not limited to, blindness, unless it is shown by such bidder that such disability prevents performance of the work involved.
