We understand a new 2.0MG water storage tank and a chemical / lab / office building will be added to the existing water treatment plant located east of town along US-70. At the site of the existing water standpipe near the intersection of Lee Street and Stewart Street a composite 0.5MG elevated water storage tank approximately 70-feet tall will be erected. This report describes the subsurface conditions encountered in the borings and provides geotechnical recommendations for earthwork and the design and construction of foundations, floor slabs and below grade walls.
