The City of Rio Rancho is soliciting formal bids for the Westside Boulevard Bike/Pedestrian Path project consists of improvements to approximately a 1.1-mile section of Westside Boulevard path from Unser Boulevard to Rio Rancho/City of Albuquerque City Limits. The path is to be constructed on the north side of Westside Boulevard to fill in gaps in the path where they exist. This new path will replace the existing crusher fines from Unser Blvd to Trail Side Dr. It is contemplated that an 8 wide asphalt or concrete path conforming with ADA/PROWAG compliant curb ramps will be constructed and the installation of landscaping with the irrigation lines to connect to the existing recycled water line. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by Bid Security Made Payable to Owner In an Amount of at Least Five (5%) Percent of Bidder Total Bid Amount And in the Form of a Certified or Bank Check or a Bid Bond on a Form Acceptable to the Owner Issued by a Surety Meeting the Requirements of The General Conditions. The Performance Bond and the Payment Bond will be equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. The Work will be substantially completed within Ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with the General Conditions. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, City and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty) Contractor shall pay City Two Thousand dollars ($ 2,000.00) for each day that expires after the substantial completion date established by the City written Notice to Proceed. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid
