Renovation of an educational facility in Moscow, Idaho. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A description of the work of this phased project can be summarized to include replacing approximately half of the existing 1920's era painted wood windows at Morrill Hall. This phase will replace 42 windows on the north and east sides of the building. Replacement includes new bronze aluminum clad wood windows with 1" energy efficient insulated glazing with an interior painted wood frame. Contract duration will be 150 days. New window installation slated to begin May 2021. Abatement contractor demo indicated on plans to be done under separate contract. Demolition of the windows being replaced will be by a state asbestos service contractor due to window putty and caulking containing hazardous materials. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, including any add alternates, is required. A Public Works Contractor's License for the State of Idaho is required to bid on this work. Demolition of the windows being replaced will be by a HMC (Hazardous Materials Contractor) through a separate contact with the State of Idaho, due to window putty and caulking containing hazardous materials. Removal and disposal of temporary OSB opening protection installed by the HMC shall be removed by the General Contractor under this contract
