Renovation of a water / sewer project in Puyallup, Washington. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The treatment plant's existing secondary treatment process is comprised of two (2) secondary clarifiers (1.4 Million Gallons per clarifier each with a diameter of 105-ft and depth of 21.75-ft), the proposed project will add a third similarly sized and equipped secondary clarifier. This would be located at the northeast corner of the treatment plant, north of the existing two secondary clarifier. Additionally, ancillary mechanical & electrical equipment would also need to be installed to support a third clarifier; specifically, a fourth return activated sludge pump along with any additional piping and electrical equipment as required to tie the new clarifier into the hydraulic, process treatment and SCADA secondary treatment system. As of February 18, 2022, this project is currently in design and will be bid in late 2023 or early 2024.
