In general the work includes the furnishing of the labor, materials, and equipment for exterior ladders, safety rails, fall restraint system, new roof hatch, new center vent, new auxiliary vent, minor painting at new structural attachment points, new cathodic protection system, and miscellaneous structural modifications per the drawings and specifications. The project is located at 204 Amador Street, Crescent City, CA. Bidders must correctly prepare and submit the documents listed in Section 00 40 00, Bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty bond, or a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the Owner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid as a guaranty that the bidder will execute the contract if it is awarded in conformity with the bid form. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in the Owners judgment, the lowest responsive bid of a bidder or group of bidders. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informalities in any bid and to delete items listed in the bid. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
