Facility renewal projects. The scope of work includes a program of renewal and replacement of mechanical and electrical building services located in 590 buildings across the city of Toronto, the bulk of which are more than 35 years old. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Consulting Services was awarded in November 2020. The Board prequalified Commissioning Services to work on an as needed basis for facility renewal projects. The intent is to select firms to provide services on a project-by-project basis, including developing the design so the completed renewed/replaced systems will function as intended by the TDSB as communicated to the respective Design Coordinator in the Design Memorandum issued prior to the commencement of the Detailed Design. Provide detailed design requirements for the intended systems renewal/replacement. Review the constructed work, process changes if necessary and identify deficiencies in the contractor's work. The term of contract will be a (3) three year term with options to extend for two (2) additional twelve month extension options. At the discretion of TDSB the contracts will be reviewed and may have an annual refresh. No new construction will result from this call, coverage of this report is discontinued.
