Renovation of a water / sewer project in Cottleville, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Painting exterior and interior of the 500,000 gallon multi-column steel water tank, completing miscellaneous tank repairs, and installing a mixing system. A. Work includes the surface preparation and painting of the exterior and interior of an existing 500,000 gallon multi-column welded steel elevated potable water storage tank for the City of O'Fallon, Missouri. For more information on the elevated tank refer to the Tank Inspection Report by Superior Tank found included in these Contract Documents. B. Tank painting shall also include but not limited to items such as exposed concrete foundation pads, ladders, overflow pipe, riser pipe, column supports and other tank appurtenances. C. The tank is 165 feet tall. The tank bowl is approximately 55 feet in diameter by 32 feet in height. D. Exterior coating is known to have presence of lead. Contractor to follow proper lead removal requirements listed in this section. Lead test results from white paint chips (wet riser) and from black paint chips (leg support) are found as an attachment. E. The water tank is located at 601 Cannonball Lane. F. Access is available from Cannonball Lane. A 20' easement extends from Cannonball Lane to gate entrance. Staging area below tank is limited to 100' x 100' fenced area. Additional staging area outside of City property would need to be coordinated with adjacent owners.
