This is a unit price bid and will be utilized for projects on an as-needed basis during the contract period. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, cash or bid bond in the amount $2,000.00, made payable to the Board of Education, submitted in a sealed envelope, and filed with the of Education on or before the aforementioned date/time. Said bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if awarded to him. In the event the bidder refuses to execute said contract, the use by the public of said structure(s) will be delayed and the public will suffer great damage. Therefore, the School District and the bidder agree that the above sum shall be paid to the School District under the conditions above set forth as liquidated damages, and not as forfeiture. This project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement of prevailing wage requirements by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful bidder(s) and any listed subcontractor(s) shall be required to furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Contractor must be in possession of a current valid Class A or C-12 California Contractor's License at the time of bidding and through project completion. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding; and to accept or reject any items thereon. No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
