Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Huntsville, Alabama. Working plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
Technical Questions should be directed to Kyle Macomber at: kmacomber@madisoncountyal.gov Procurement questions should be directed to Chrissy Watson at cwatson@madisoncountyal.gov The project consists of installing a packaged Large Fueling Dispenser System at 266C Shields Road, Huntsville, AL 35811. The installed package shall include, foundations, double-walled above-ground 20,000 gallon tank (half gasoline and half diesel), a 500 gallon Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank, all piping, control systems, conduits and electric service, fueling pumps, catwalks, safety equipment along with weather-tight storage cabinet/closet. The Bid Form must be accompanied by a cashier's check, drawn on an Alabama bank, or a Bid Bond, executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama, payable to Madison County. If a Bid Bond is provided in lieu of a cashier's check, the bond shall be on the Bid Bond form as stipulated in the Bid Documents. Refer to Appendix A for the Bid Bond form. The amount of the cashier's check or Bid Bond shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the Contractor's bid, but is not required to be in an amount more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). General. Upon signing and returning the Construction Contract to the Owner for final approval and execution, the Contractor shall, at the Contractor's expense, furnish to the Owner a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in a penal sum equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. Each bond shall be on the form contained in the Bid Package, shall be executed by a surety company (Surety) acceptable to the Owner and duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama in the required amounts, shall be countersigned by an authorized, Alabama resident agent of the Surety who is qualified to execute such instruments, and shall have attached thereto a power of attorney of the signing official.
