The scope of the Misericordia Community Hospital Emergency Department Redevelopment includes construction of a state-of-the-art, 59,000 SF emergency department, featuring a main floor, full interstitial space, and mechanical penthouse. Also included is the construction of a new generator building and substation building, complete with installation, commissioning, and testing of pre-purchased generator equipment, to support the healthcare campus The project features new primary and secondary emergency centre levels of care to address a capacity of 60,000 patient visits per year, a significant improvement of the existing 25,000 annual patient visit capacity; the total construction value is approximately $53,000,000.
