Award Details Contract Award Date: May 17, 2021 Contract Award Number: W9127S21C0004 Task/Delivery Order Number: Contractor Awarded Unique Entity ID (DUNS): 035585207 Contractor Awarded Name: KOONTZ ELECTRIC COMPANY, INCORPORATED Contractor Awarded Address: Morrilton, AR USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $7955558.00 MODERNIZATION ELECTRICAL INSTALL NORFORK POWERHOUSE MOUNTAIN HOME PROJECT OFFICE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS (USACE) W9127S21R0002, Modernization Electrical Install, will be advertised as a Full and Open Competition procurement under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is set at $39,500,000.00. This solicitation will be issued, utilizing FAR Part 15, as a Request for Proposals (RFP). Proposals will be evaluated via the Best Value- Trade Off method and will result in a firm fixed-price construction contract. The Magnitude of Construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The requirement being procured under this solicitation includes removal of existing generator step-up (GSU) transformers and foundations and installation of two new Government-furnished GSU transformers and foundations (including oil containment modifications), replacement of 15 kV switchgear for two main unit generators, removal of two excitation systems including power potential transformers (PPTs), installation of two Government furnished excitation systems including PPTs, replacement of main unit metal enclosed bus and medium voltage cable, replacement of 125VDC battery chargers, replacement of station service low voltage distribution equipment, and incidental related work throughout the powerhouse and switchyard at Norfork Dam. The contractor shall provide quality assurance as specified in strict accordance with all terms, conditions, special contract requirements, specifications, drawings, attachments, and exhibits to be outlined in the contract requirements and task orders awarded under the contract. The contractor's work and responsibility shall also include all planning, programming, administration, and management necessary to provide repair, construction, and related services as ordered. The contractor shall be responsible for site preparation and cleanup for each task order issued under the contract. Further, the contractor shall provide related services such as preparing and submitting required reports, maintaining record drawings, and performing other administrative work. W9127S21R0002 will be issued on or about Friday, January 8, 2021, via the Government Point of Entry (GPE), beta.SAM.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be issued via the GPE as well.
