As of March 1, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect has not been selected. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Illinois State University is planning a two phased project at Milner Library. The first phase involves relocating the Cataloging, Acquisitions, and Programming (CAP) Department from the fifth floor to the first floor of Milner Library. The second phase will backfill the previous CAP space with the Center for Teaching Learning and Technology (CTLT) Department to be relocated from Williams Hall. The architectural scope of work is as follows: First Floor of Milner Library (Phase 1) 1. Renovate approximately 1,200 square feet of Library Receiving space to accommodate a new Graphics Center. 2. Renovate approximately 850 square feet of Collection Management space to accommodate a new Optic Scan Center. 3. Renovate approximately 5,900 square feet of existing condensed storage to the relocated CAP department from the fifth floor. a. Space will include enclosed acoustically separated offices with relocated furniture. This will require inventory and relocation verification. b. Modular furniture layout relocated from the fifth floor. This will require inventory and relocation verification. Fifth Floor of Milner Library (Phase 2) 1. Renovate approximately 9,500 square feet of the vacated CAP Department to the new CTLT Department. This design will include new furniture layout and selection for: a. Enclosed acoustically separated offices b. Classrooms c. Conference rooms d.
