The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals; to waive any informalities in the bidding; and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in their consideration, offered the lowest and best proposal. The City also reserves the right to hold all proposals for 60 days after the opening date, although not accepted or rejected. The work for which proposals are invited consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required for the US 27 Culvert Lining. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin and are required to follow all State of Ohio prevailing wage rate requirements. All work shall be completed in accordance with the contract documents. The successful bidder shall begin work no earlier than June 1, 2021, and after receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed by August 13, 2021. Bidders shall submit with their proposals a certified check, cashier's check or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the estimated cost of the contract. The successful bidder, must, within ten days after receiving the Notice of Intent to Award and before execution of the Agreement for Construction by the City, furnish a performance bond in the form provided by Ohio Revised Code Section 153.57 in the full amount of the proposal.
