This project provides funding for the design and construction of a press box and stadium seating for a diamond field at the Brambleton Community Park. Modifications to existing fields are necessary to accommodate the press box and seating upgrade. Additionally, the project provides funding for sewer connectivity to the existing restroom facilities and the construction of a new restroom facility to service the expanded population that the complex will be able to handle once improvements are complete. Cost estimates and the scope for the project have been revised from the FY 2022 Adopted CIP to include the design and construction of a new restroom facility and sanitary sewer extension that were approved by the Board as part of Item 11h Brambleton West Park Improvements-Restroom Facility and Utility Extension as presented at the September 21, 2021, Board Business Meeting. This project is included in the city's 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of May 20, 2024, per owner a site plan has been submitted in April 2024 for review and approval. This review process is anticipated to take several months. Based on this timeline, they expect construction to begin in the spring/summer of 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
