Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Leesburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

This project provides funding to design and construct a recruit training facility on the existing Fire-Rescue Training Center property. The facility, to be located in proximity to the current structural burn building, training props, and high bay building, will provide a dedicated educational training facility for incoming career and volunteer fire and rescue candidates as well as the staff that supports them. In addition, this facility will also provide climate-controlled garaging for the Training Divisions apparatus, and other specialized apparatus. The Basic Training Facility will be designed similar to a typical Loudoun County Fire and Rescue station with many of the same programmatic needs. This includes dedicated classrooms, areas for staff, and other support functions. The facility will be a two-story design and have 5 apparatus bays, restrooms, lockers, and other ancillary spaces for trainees and staff. As of November 21, 2023, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2028 capital improvement plan. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2023-2025. Per owner, design is complete. Contractor Pre-Qualification already completed. Construction bids to be issued in December/January and received in January/February 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
