This Request for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/P) issued by General Services Department of Kansas City, Missouri to solicit sealed Proposals for Design-Build services Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the General Services Department of Kansas City, Missouri (City) to solicit a sealed Technical Approach Submittal and a sealed Price Submittal (collectively, Bid) from Design Builders for Project No. 89008842 - 68th Street - Waukomis Drive to US 169 (Project). The City will use the Design-Build contracting method to deliver the Project and is utilizing a two-step procurement process for selecting the entity that will provide best value as the Design-Builder for the Project. This IFB represents the second step of the procurement process and establishes the process for soliciting and evaluating Technical and Cost Proposals. Northwest 68th Street from Waukomis Drive to US-169 Highway is a four-lane divided arterial with deteriorating pavement. The existing pavement structure has routinely required maintenance in the form of overlay projects on a regular basis. This project provides pavement improvements to improve the riding surface, extend the lifespan of the pavement, and reduce future maintenance costs. Incidental construction such as ADA ramp adjustments, sidewalk replacement, and storm sewer modifications may be necessary as part of the project. The purpose of the project is to perform pavement upgrades on 68th Street between Waukomis Drive and US 169. This IFB is to request proposals for Design-Builder Services for design and construction. The City has established a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the design-build contract of $5.5 million to ensure the project will be delivered within budget.
