**As of 01/06/2020, the project was awarded to G & G Site Development Inc. for $100,890.10. The City of Lake Alfred is requesting sealed bids for a street resurfacing. This project is funded by the City of Lake Alfred All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the City of Lake Alfred Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified City Designee. The City reserves the following rights: to waive informalities in any bid/proposal/quote; to reject any or all bids/proposals/quotes or portions of bids/proposals/quotes; to accept a bid/proposal/quote or portions of bids/proposals/quotes deemed to be in the best interest of the City; and to negotiate or refuse to negotiate with any offer. o Intersections when needed will be milled for a smooth transition. o Roadways without curbing will be edged and sweep before resurfacing. o Roadways with curbing will be cleaned and free of vegetation prior to resurfacing. o Contractor will arrange work so it will not interfere with normal flow of daily traffic. o Contractor will arrange a work schedule to accommodate schools and school crossings at times when they are in use. o Resurfacing will be done with minimum two inch of type S-1 or better asphalt. o Roads to be milled will be done at a minimum of one inch. o New surfacing will be done to insure a smooth transition around manholes in the paved area. o Manhole ring and cover adjustments will be preformed by contractor.
