Site work and paving for a civil project in Trapper Creek, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Preliminary engineering and environmental evaluation activities began in summer 2021 and will continue through 2025. The project is being developed in phases: Phase 1: Replace 10 culverts in critical condition that pose the highest risk to highway infrastructure if they fail. Design is currently underway to address these 10 culverts and is expected to be completed in late fall 2023. Phase 2: Replace the existing 144-inch culvert at Railroad Creek (MP 128.5) with a bridge. Design is currently underway and is expected to be completed in early 2024. Future Phases: Beginning in summer 2023, the project team will begin ranking roughly 70 of the remaining 200 culverts in the project corridor along with collecting environmental and preliminary engineering data for Horseshoe Creek (MP 159.8).
