The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from qualified contractors to address damaged culverts on South Oilwell Road and soft material on East Devonshire Drive. This project on E. Devonshire Drive will involve, but is not limited to, geotextile separation, import and placement of borrow, culvert installation. E. Devonshire Drive: o East Devonshire Drive: Place geotextile separation placed on original ground and 18" lift for 50 linear feet. Additionally, ditching for 100 liner feet on both sides of the road. This material generated from ditching should be disposed of off-site. S. Oilwell Road: o Culvert R&R @ MP 4.2 of Oilwell: 30 linear feet of 18" CSP, and a 12" lift of material 50 feet each side of the culvert. o Culvert R&R @ MP 4.8 of Oilwell: 40 linear feet of 18" CSP, Geotextile separation placed on original ground and 12" lift for 465 linear feet. o Culvert R&R @ MP 5.0 of Oilwell: 40 linear feet of 18" CSP, Geotextile separation placed on original ground and 12" lift for 250 linear feet. o Culvert installation @ MP 11.75 of Oilwell. Place the 24" CSP where shown. Ensure drainage of the pipe is towards Amber Lake (west). Tie the fill into the hill on the south side of the pipe and cover with approximately 24" of borrow material. Ditch the road for 200 linear feet to the new culvert. The material generated from ditching should be disposed of off-site. Additional Alternative is place surface course E-1 across all sites at 4 inches thick. Deadline to submit Questions Sep 12th 2023, 5:00 PM AKDT
