The "Work" consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 10,000 square feet of the existing quartz polymer flooring and base within the basement kitchen of the Clark County Detention Center and inside approximately seven adjacent cooler/freezers and replace the existing flooring with a new heavy-duty polyaspartic urethane coating flooring system. Construction also includes the removal and disposal of two existing industrial tray washers and installation of two new industrial tray washers. The Construction includes all Administrative Work and Coordination as contained within Division 01 General Requirements of the project specifications. Construction consists of Selective Demolition of the existing quartz polymer flooring system using vacuum and filter equipped machinery in order to protect indoor air quality. Cast In Place Concrete to include Work within one of the cooler/freezers over the existing insulation, which will include the installation of a concrete ramp, Railing and Guardrail Work to include schedule 40 galvanized tube steel cart railing installed to protect walls and equipment from damage and the removal and replacement of kitchen floor drains. Question Cutoff Date 12/23/2020 01:00 PM (ET) In addition to the above, the stainless-steel wall covering throughout the kitchen area will be trimmed at 18" above grade and the new flooring system to die into a finish trim behind the stainless-steel wall. The application of Joint Sealants and Security Epoxy Grout throughout and where applicable. Resinous Flooring Work to include the replacement of the existing quartz polymer flooring and base with a heavy-duty polyaspartic urethane coating flooring system, to include the removal, preparation and installation of approximately 3,820 square feet of new epoxy flooring within the hallway outside of the 6-pack elevator vestibule to the laundry area and from the 6-pack elevator to the end of the corridor past the Chiller room as shown on sheet A1.0 and specification 09 67 23-4. Work shall also include the removal of approximately six square feet of flooring within the existing Laundry room and replacement of heavy-duty polyaspartic urethane coating flooring system also shown on sheet A1.0 and within 09 67 23-4. HVAC Work to include the repair of all non-functioning components of the cooler/freezers including the heating coils and the replacement of the thresholds. Electrical and Pl umbing Work to include the dismantling and relocation, as well as the professional reinstallation of all existing kitchen equipment, including the procurement and utilization of a professional kitchen contractor to assist with the reconnection of all kitchen equipment. Construction also includes the removal and proper disposal of two existing industrial tray washers and the preparation and professional installation of two new industrial tray washers, to include any electrical, plumbing and venting connections as indicated on the MEP drawings, work to include ceiling repairs if necessary.
