The Project consists of roadway improvements along the 7th Street corridor in the City of Harrisburg as indicated in the project plan sheets and project manual. The work includes, but is not limited to construction and conversion of the existing traffic signal to a multilane roundabout at the intersection of 7th Street and Reily Street, construction of a raised landscape median on 7th Street from Harris Street to Herr Street; construction of raised mid-block crosswalks along 7th Street; construction of three pedestrian refuge islands on southbound 7th Street; construction of a 2-way cycle track along southbound 7th Street; construction of a partially protected intersection at 7th Street and Herr Street; construction of plain cement concrete pavement stamped and stained; removing the existing traffic signal at Herr and 7th Street and replacing with the existing traffic signal equipment removed from the 7th Street and Reily Street intersection; installation of signal interconnect cable on Herr Street between 7th Street and Cameron Street milling of existing bituminous pavements, applying bituminous leveling course as required overlaying streets with bituminous wearing course, adjusting and/or installing utilities such as manhole frames and covers, water valves, and storm water inlets; construction of pedestrian curb ramps in accordance with ADA requirements; removing and replacing existing roadway lighting; storm pipe, and storm water inlets; repairing road base and shoulders; planting landscaping; E&S controls, removal and installation of signs; removal of existing pavement markings; installation of pavement markings including special green color treatments for bike lanes; installation of flexible post delineators; maintenance and protection of traffic; as within the City of Harrisburg.
