The Project includes the following Work: Replace two (2) existing submersible sewage pumps and their respective control panel, replace one (1) ultrasonic flow meter with a magnetic flow meter, install new bypass vault, install new doghouse manhole, and replace existing 4-inch ductile iron discharge piping with 6-inch pipe and appurtenances. Clarification Deadline: 12/8/2020 4:00 PM Bids are requested for the following Contract: Route 519 Pump Station Upgrade Project; Contract No. 2020-01 - General Construction. A pre-bid conference for the Project will NOT be held. Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid. Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972. This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act ('the Act') which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government's E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award. The estimated cost for this Project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. The Owner reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner, and to reject any or all proposals.
