Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Fountain Valley, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 110,000-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of June 02, 2021, project has been awarded in the amount of $102,544,973.30. Construction of a three-level office building, approximately 110,000 SF. A public lobby, board room, conference rooms, break rooms, catering kitchen and storage rooms, restrooms and employee offices, surface parking, landscaping, site drainage, sidewalks, and curb and gutters. A pedestrian bridge spanning from the new building to inside the perimeter of Plant 1 will be part of the development. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Project is located North of Ellis Avenue between Pacific Street and Bandilier Circle in Fountain Valley, CA. The Work involves the construction of a three-level office building, approximately 110,000 SF in size. The building superstructure consists of mass timber and steel-braced structures. The building will include public lobby, board room, conference rooms, break rooms, catering kitchen and storage rooms, restrooms, and employee offices. Two interior elevators are within the building. The building perimeter will include 8-foot high ornamental steel fencing along the north section; a steel fence will enclose the courtyard area. The site will be developed with surface parking, landscaping, site drainage, sidewalks, and curb and gutters. A transformer and trash enclosure will be located on the parking site. The building will be supported on deep foundations using cast-in-drilled hole caissons encased in a 3-ft thick concrete pilecap. A pedestrian bridge spanning from the new building to inside the perimeter of Plant 1 will be part of the development. Demolition includes one trailer and one precast concrete tilt-up single-story building on 5" thick concrete slab on grade foundation and its asphalt parking areas. Several utilities will be constructed from the plant site to the building across Ellis Avenue. Utilities will also be required to be coordinated and connected to City-owned utility mains as well as other utility agencies. Hazardous material at the existing concrete tilt-up building will be abated.
