As of May 13, 2021, the project has been awarded to Excel 4 Construction for $ 1,189,017.60. **As of January 06, 2021, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award is not yet determined. Sealed proposals for the 2020 Utility Improvements (S.W. 4th Ave., N.W. 5th Ave., N.W. 13th St., N.W. 15th St., N.E. 10th St. and S.W. 15th St.) Said project shall include furnishing and installing 8 inch, 6 inch and 2 inch water lines, gate valves, fire hydrants, roadway bore for 18 inch steel casing, connection to existing water lines and meters, removal of existing water lines, temporary water lines, installing 6 inch sewer lines, manholes, cleanouts, sewer service lines, removing and disposing of existing sewer lines, manhole rehabilitation, and other miscellaneous utility work. No bid may be changed, amended or modified after the above time and date. A bid may be, however, withdrawn and resubmitted any time prior to the time set for receipt of bids. Bid security in the form of Cashiers Check, Bid Bond or other negotiable instrument in the amount of 5% of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute bonds and insurance as outlined in the specifications and Instructions to Bidders. The City of Mineral Wells reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality in connection therewith.
