Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Troy, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 8,735-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Scope of Work includes construction of a new Field House for the newly constructed High School. The size of this proposed building is approximately 8,735 SF and associated sitework. All bidders are notified that the provisions of NCGS 143-128 and 143-129, including guidelines for minority business enterprise participation (143-128.2) shall be observed in letting and executing the work. Bidders are also notified that they must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their respective trades and that applicable provisions of Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the work. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond and separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the full amount of the contract shall be submitted prior to executing the work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the contract to other than the low bidder should it be deemed in the Owners best interest.No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after receipt of bids. The goals for participation by Minority Business Enterprises as subcontractors on this project have been set at MBE: 10%
