Site work for a civil project in Troy, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The project involves professional engineering and design services for wastewater infrastructure improvements, funded by two Community Development Block Grant-Infrastructure (CDBG-I) awards. The planning and initial engineering scope must comply with North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) Division of Water Infrastructure (DWI) and CDBG-I guidelines. The project includes rehabilitation or equivalent replacement of approximately 5,300 linear feet of gravity sewer, 32 manholes, and rehabilitation of a wastewater pump station with no change in capacity. The affected areas include Smith St, Blue St, W. Fairground Ave, S. Main St, W Clairmont St, Stanley St, Faduma St, Barnhill St, and various associated sewer easements. A licensed engineer/engineering firm is sought to provide services necessary to prepare plans, specifications, and bid documents; assist with bidding and award procedures; administer construction contracts; and provide construction inspection as needed, all in accord with Community Development Block Grant Program requirements. Engineering fees and grant management will be paid with CDBG-I funds, with payment terms negotiated with the selected firm. Hard copy RFQ responses should be submitted by the specified deadline. Proposals from small, minority, women-owned, veteran-owned, historically underutilized, and Section 3 businesses are invited.
