As of February 26 2021 project was awarded to California Trenchless, Inc. amount of $2,030,030. Anticipated Start: April 2021 . The work to be done in general consists of mobilization, traffic control, storm water pollution control, potholing of existing utilities, clearing and grubbing, tree trimming, bypass pumping of sanitary sewer flows, open trench replacement of sanitary sewer mains and laterals, pipe bursting of sanitary sewer mains and laterals, sewer cleanout installations, manhole construction, manhole rehabilitation, digout repairs, microsurfacing, traffic striping and markings, and all other work as specified in these Special Provisions and shown in the Drawings. The PSA also includes a Helmets to Hardhats requirement. A copy of the PSA is attached and incorporated by reference. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor or Class "C-34," Pipeline Contractor. Further, only a contractor registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to submit a bid. Furthermore, only subcontractors registered with the DIR to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to perform work or labor or render service under subcontract to the subject contractor. The City Council has ascertained that State of California prevailing wage rates are applicable for this and all City projects. All bids shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by cash, cashier's or certified check or a bidder's bond executed by a corporate surety insurer. The bidder's guarantee shall be in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount bid and made payable to the city of concord.
