The City of Fitchburg is seeking SCADA Upgrades at its Regional and Falulah Water Treatment Plants and at various remote water treatment sites. The work includes but is not limited to the following: improvements to the SCADA system at the Falulah and Regional Water Filtration Facilities and 13 remote sites located in and around Fitchburg, MA. Such improvements include, but are not limited to, upgrades and replacements of control panels; replacement of SCADA and network hardware; installation of wireless network and cellular telemetry system; replacement of instrumentation and control system components; installation of security cameras; and miscellaneous electrical work. Each General Bid must be accompanied by a current Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the Work and an Update Statement. In order to be eligible to bid, a General Bidder must be certified in the following category of work: ELECTRICAL. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate The estimated construction cost is: $1,900,000. The estimated time frame for project completion is 433 calendar days 1. Demolish the backplane of the Main Control Panel and Filter Control Panels at Falulah and Regional Water Filtration Facilities and associated conduits and wiring as detailed and specified within the Contract Documents and as necessary to install a new, fully functional monitoring and control system. 2. Furnish and install new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system hardware as detailed and specified within the Contract Documents. Programming of the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and configuration of the Human Machine Interface (HMI) software are not part of this contract. They will be performed by the Owner's Application Engineer (OAE). 3. Furnish and install a wireless network within Falulah and Regional Water Treatment Plants as detailed and specified within the Contract Documents. 4. Demolish, furnish, and install Control Panels at 13 remote sites as detailed and specified within the Contract Documents. 5. Furnish and install a cellular telemetry system for transmitting and receiving data between remote sites and the water treatment plants.
