A timeline for award has not yet been established.** MAJOR ITEMS OF WORK: Project will include smoke testing of approximately 8,000 LF of gravity sewer mains, Clean & CCTV 7,000 LF of sewer mains, 6,000 LF of 8" pipe bursting, 1,000 LF of 8" CIPP pipe rehabilitation, restoration of service connections, rehabilitation of manholes, and other sanitary sewer rehabilitation related work. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of bidders maximum bid price and in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or a bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to obtain a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. All bonds shall be executed by such sureties as are named in U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. A bond signed by an agent or attorney-in-fact must be accompanied by a certified copy of that individuals authority to bind the surety. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 38:2214B. The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Minority and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to submit bid proposals.
