Renovation of a municipal facility in Spruce Grove, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
*Construction is complete. The purpose of this RFP is to obtain proposals from qualified contractors for the replacement of the existing ammonia ice plant chiller as further described in this RFP. The ammonia ice plant chiller serves 2 - 85' x 200' ice surfaces as well as a small 33' x 85' leisure ice surface. The existing ice plant is currently functional but is ageing. The system typically runs 11 months of the year for ice generation and has a refrigerant charge of 1250 lbs. The goal of this project is to install a new system which is energy efficient, safe to operate, and has a greatly reduced volume of ammonia.
