Estimated Cost. The estimated cost of the Project is $4.2 million. This estimate is intended to serve merely as an indication of the magnitude of the Work. Neither the Bidder(s) nor the Contractor will be entitled to pursue a claim or be compensated due to variance in the stated estimated cost range Contractor License Requirement. The Bidder must possess a current Class A Contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer affairs, Contractor State License Board when the Bid is submitted. Regardless of whether a subcontractor must be identified at the time of Bid, each subcontractor must also be properly licensed to perform its scope of Work. The objective of the Pre-Bid conference/site visit is to familiarize prospective Bidders with the site; no additional site visits will be allowed. Please confirm your intent to attend the Pre-Bid conference/site visit 24 hours in advance by sending an email to scvwdplanroom@valleywater.org. Additional information regarding the Pre-Bid conference/site showing will be sent to all prospective Bidders who confirm their intention to attend. Every attendee will be required to show a government-issued photo ID (Driver License, Photo ID, or passport). In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the District will require that all participants adhere to the orders of Social Distancing. All persons attending the Pre-Bid conference/site visit are required to adhere to the orders of Social Distancing and are also required to bring and wear the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), i.e., protective face covering, in order to be allowed entrance onto the site and to remain on the site. (1) Demolish and remove all components of each existing basin including, but not limited to: (a) Rails and supporting brackets (b) Drive chain and flights (c) Floor wear strips (d) Sprockets and bearings (e) Drive Shafts (f) Drive Motors (g) Sludge Launder troughs and its supports (h) Sludge draw off valves and piping (2) Demolish and remove the existing paddle reels, shafts and bearings. (3) Demolish and remove the existing wood baffle wall panels. (4) Demolish and remove the existing tube settler modules. b. Remove existing basin concrete top-coating and surface repair and prepare mortar base-coating: (1) Provide National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Level III certified inspection oversight for all basin coating removal and surface preparation work. (2) Remove existing concrete epoxy top-coating from all three (3) flocculation and sedimentation basins without removing and/or disturbing concrete mortar base-coating. (3) Repair all anomalies and/or deteriorated areas of the remaining concrete mortar base-coating and prepare the mortar-based coating for exposed service.
