The present control room is in a maintenance building on the ground floor within an existing warehouse building. In the event of a hurricane and the resulting storm surge, the control room could be under water. This project will prepare the site for the new building and complete the amenities for the manufactured two-story building which will be purchased and installed under a separate contract and constructed in accordance with the Appendix A Technical Specification. If the Bidder fails or refuses to furnish or record the required bonds, JEA will retain the Bidder's bid bond as liquidated damages.
