Site work for a water / sewer project in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A. Clearing and grubbing consists of removal and disposal of designated trees, stumps, brush, roots, vegetation, logs, rubbish, and other objectionable matter from the project area. B. Also included, would be any site drainage improvements, swales, or pumping necessary to complete clearing activities. The Contractor hereby agrees to begin work within 10 calendar days after Engineer has given written Notice to Proceed. Contractor hereby also agrees to achieve Substantial Completion of the Work within forty-five (45) calendar days after the date of the written Notice to Proceed. We have had a few questions regarding the bid bond for this project. The following applies: Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within 7 days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor.
