Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a clubhouse / community center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Design plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; and for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Brooklyn Center is requesting proposals for a community center master plan. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time. As of June 5, 2023, the master plan study is being completed. A firm bidding and construction timeline has yet to be announced. Funding also has to be obtained. The first phase would include the new competition-size pool with seating for spectators, a full renovation of the existing building, community meeting rooms and a cafe. The second phase, targeted for construction in 2025, would include the four-court gym facility with an elevated running track and a fitness mezzanine. The third and final phase, with a target construction date of 2027, would include the addition of a warmer-water recreation pool and splash pad and party rooms.
