Saving Project...

Renovation of a library in Montreal, Quebec. Working plans call for the renovation of a eight-story above grade library.

Upgrades, repairs and modernization of the mechanical equipment in the building of the Quebec national Library and Archives. The scope of the project includes the replacement of steam boilers by gas heating systems combined with power boilers, addition of steam boilers for the air humidification, replacement of the existing coolers by modular coolers, upgrades to the ventilation and hot water supply systems. The project will reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. TIMELINE: The owner has secured the project funding and re-started the project implementation. Working drawings are underway. The owner has awarded the firm Consultants Akonovia inc to provide services of a commissioning agent for the project. According to the owner scheduling a tender for the general contractor will be issued in late spring/summer 2024, construction start being anticipated in August/September of the same year.
