For furnishing all necessary materials, equipment, superintendence, and labor for the construction of the FM 2550 Water System. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Furnishing and installation of approximately 8,150 linear feet of six inch water line, about 5,430 linear feet of four inch water line, and associated tie-ins, connections, services, and appurtenances on FM 2550 from approximately State Highway 30 to Hall Ranch Road. Each bidder shall furnish a bid guarantee equivalent to five percent of the bid price. (Water Code 17.183). If a bid bond is provided, the contractor shall utilize a surety company which is authorized to do business in Texas in accordance with Art. 7.19-1. Bond of Surety Company, Chapter 7 of the Insurance Code. Award of this contract will be made on the basis of the lowest responsive responsible bid. The right is reserved as the interest of the Owner may require, rejecting any or all bids, and to waive any informality in bids received. The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond on the forms provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price from a Surety or other Sureties acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to award the contract at any time within sixty (60) days after bid opening.
