As of February 18, 2022, an engineer has been selected for the project and design has nearing completion. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined, funding is still being sought for the project. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of St. Augustine is soliciting Letters of Interest from qualified Professional Consulting Engineering and related services as defined for planning, permitting, design, development of bid documents and bidding services for the referenced scope of work, which involves the reinforcement, replacement and installation of seawall with appropriate tidal backflow prevention to achieve a continuous elevation and a level of protection against a 100-year storm event. Details of the scope of work can also be found in the Citys HMGP grant application. These services will be governed, in part, by regulations and requirements stipulated in the Hazard Mitigation Grant Contract H0483 of which the City has secured through the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management. The City of St. Augustine reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all respondents, to waive any informality in or to reject any or all of Letters of Interest if deemed to be in its best interest. The City also reserves the right to award a contract on such material(s) as the City deems will best serve its interests.
