The purpose of this Solicitation is to contract for the services necessary for the completion of the project in accordance with the Scope of Services, (EXHIBIT 1, Attachments A, B & C) and the plans and/or specifications, if any, described in this Solicitation (hereinafter referred to as "the Project" or "Project"). The evaluation and award of the submitted Qualifications will be consistent with Florida's Consultants' Competitive Negotiations Act (CCNA) (section 287.055, Florida Statutes). Pursuant to the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act, Florida Statue 287.055, the City of South Miami, hereby solicits Expression of Interest and Statement of Qualification submittals from professional consulting engineering or architectural firms for architectural and engineering services for a new City of South Miami Police Headquarters. The City has selected a City owned site located at 5890 SW 69 Street, South Miami, FL 33143 for the new Police Headquarters. The site contains an obsolete State of Florida Vehicle Inspection Station; the obsolete Inspection Station building structure is presently located on the site. A Boundary Survey of the site is included in the solicitation as Exhibit 1, Scope of Services, Attachment B, "Boundary Survey." The Respondent, when submitting the Proposal, must include a Proposal/Bid Bond, if required for this project, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the base Proposal on the Proposal/Bid Bond Form included herein. A company or personal check will not be deemed a valid Proposal Security.
