The City is hereby requesting sealed proposals in response to this RFP #PW2022-09, CITYWIDE LANDSCAPING SERVICES. The purpose of this Solicitation is to contract for the services necessary for the completion of the project in accordance with the Scope of Services, (EXHIBIT 1, Attachments A, B & C) and the plans and/or specifications, if any, described in this Solicitation (hereinafter referred to as "the Project" or "Project"). The City of South Miami, Florida (hereinafter referred to as "Owner") through its chief executive officer (City Manager) hereby solicits sealed proposals responsive to the City's request (hereinafter referred to as "Request for Proposal", "RFP" or "E-Bidding") All references in this Solicitation (also referred to as an "Invitation for Proposals" or "Invitation to E-bid) to "City" will be a reference to the City Manager, or the manager's designee, for the City of South Miami unless otherwise specifically defined or unless the context in which the word is used requires it to mean the City of South Miami. Any questions concerning the Solicitation or any required need for clarification must be made in writing, by 10:00 AM May 6, 2022 to the attention of Steven P. Kulick, Chief Procurement Officer at skulick@southmiamifl.gov or via facsimile at (305) 669-2636. Bonding Requirements: The Respondent, when submitting the Proposal, must include a Proposal/Bid Bond, if required for this project, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the base Proposal on the Proposal/Bid Bond Form included herein. A company or personal check will not be deemed a valid Proposal Security. The City of South Miami may require the successful Respondent to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the total Proposal Price, including Alternates if any, naming the City of South Miami, and the entity that may be providing a source of funding for the Work, as the obligee, as security for the faithful performance of the Contract and for the payment of all persons or entities performing labor, services and/or furnishing materials in connection herewith. In addition, if the Respondent's employees will be working in secure or sensitive areas of the City, the City may require that the Respondent provides employee bonding, naming the City of South Miami as the obligee on the bond. The bonds must be with a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida The City of South Miami will determine whether the evidence of ability to perform is satisfactory and reserves the right to reject all response submittals to this Solicitation where evidence submitted, or investigation and evaluation, indicates inability of a firm to perform Deadline to Submit Questions 5/6/2022 10:00 AM
