Addition to a medical facility in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Completed plans call for the addition of a 4,752-square-foot, one-story above grade medical facility.
Work of this Contract comprises the following: .1 The Rocky Mountain House Health Centre - Alberta Surgical Initiative (RMHHCASI) project is to construct a new addition to the existing building at north courtyard. It includes a medical devices reprocessing department (MDRD), and a new Operating Room (OR) with associated recovery and support spaces. .2 The Province is not seeking to purse LEED certification however, the Project has incorporated Sustainable Design Principles for specifying materials that demonstrate volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions equal to or less than the maximum permitted for low emitting materials. Materials complying with material ingredient reporting requirements such as Health Product Declarations or Declare Labels, and materials with third party certified, product specific life cycle performance reporting such as Environmental Product Declarations. The RMHHC-ASI project is to construct a new 440 m2 addition to the existing building at north courtyard. It includes a 200 m2 medical devices reprocessing department (MDRD), and a new Operating Room (OR) with an area of approximately 70 m2, and associated recovery and support spaces. Construct mechanical penthhouse to accommodate mechanical and electrical systems to serve the new addition.
